Who is responsible

Qelvor is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Our contact details and company registration number are at the bottom of every page.

If you have questions about how we handle information about you, send us an email. You will get a reply from a person.

What we collect

We collect two things, and nothing beyond them. One is anonymous visit statistics, and only if you agree to it. The other is whatever you type into the contact form yourself.

We do not buy information about you from anyone, we do not sell anything on, and we do not use the data to show you advertising anywhere.

Cookies

The site sets no cookies before you have said yes. If you decline, or simply do not answer, the measurement tool is never loaded at all.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_ followed by a code. They distinguish one browser from another so a repeat visit is not counted as two people. They contain no name, email or anything else pointing back at you.

Your choice is stored locally in your own browser, not with us. You can change your mind at any time through the “Cookies” link at the bottom of the page.

Visit statistics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit the site, which pages they read, roughly where in the world they are, and whether they arrived via search or a link. The purpose is to make the site better — not to identify individuals.

Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. We have not enabled advertising features, and the data is not shared with Google’s advertising network.

The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.

The contact form

If you submit the contact form, we receive your name, your email address and whatever you choose to write. Phone and company name are optional. We use it solely to reply to you.

The form reaches us through an external form service, which delivers the message to our inbox. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry you initiated yourself.

If the enquiry turns into work, the information becomes part of the client relationship and is kept for as long as the agreement runs and accounting rules require.

The AI assistant on the site

The website has an assistant you can ask about our services. If you use it, what you write is sent to Anthropic, who run the language model behind it, so that it can answer you.

We store nothing. The conversation exists only in your browser while the panel is open, and disappears when you close it or reload the page. We cannot read your conversations, and the assistant sets no cookies.

The assistant is not built for personal data. Do not enter national identity numbers, passwords, health information or anything else sensitive — use the contact form if you need to send us something like that.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions you have asked yourself. You do not have to use the assistant; the same information is on the pages, and you can always use the contact form instead.

Who we share data with

Google Ireland Limited provides Google Analytics. Google may transfer data to the United States, which takes place under the EU data privacy framework.

Our form provider receives the contents of the contact form in order to deliver it as an email. Our hosting provider stores the website files themselves and keeps technical server logs.

Anthropic PBC processes the messages you send to the AI assistant, and may transfer them to the United States. They are used to produce the reply, not to train the model.

Beyond these, we share nothing with anyone. We disclose information to authorities only where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Visit statistics are retained in Google Analytics for 14 months and then deleted automatically.

Enquiries that lead nowhere are deleted within twelve months. If you become a client, we keep what is needed for as long as the relationship lasts.

Your rights

You have the right to see what information we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. You may also ask us to restrict its use, and you may withdraw a consent you have given.

Send us an email and we will reply as quickly as we can, and within one month at the latest.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you may complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.

Changes

If we change how we process information, we update this page and put a new date at the top.
